Cannot play voice messages sent via e-mail

A playback device or software (for example WinAmp) cannot play WAV files sent as voice messages by the FRITZ!Box answering machine.

1 Using a suitable playback device or software

The playback device or software does not support the audio codec required to play the file:

  • Use a playback device or software that can play files in A-Law format (for example the Windows Media Payer) to play the voice messages.
