Integrating FRITZ!WLAN Repeater into the Mesh via wireless LAN

Integrate a FRITZ!WLAN Repeater into your FRITZ!Box's Mesh via wireless LAN to easily and efficiently increase the wireless range of your home network. As a Mesh Repeater, the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater automatically adopts all of the wireless settings from the FRITZ!Box (Mesh Master) and creates an additional wireless network that enables your devices to connect to the home network.

As soon as the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater is integrated in the Mesh, it is marked in the user interface of the Mesh Master with the Mesh symbol :

  2. Wait until the "Power" and "WLAN" LEDs on the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater remain lit.

To optimally increase the range, the repeater requires a fast and stable wireless connection to the home network:

4 Disabling the adoption of settings in the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater

If you want to configure your own wireless settings in the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater, you can also disable the adoption of settings:

The wireless radio network of a FRITZ!WLAN Repeater that supplies a child's room with wireless LAN should be switched off automatically at particular times. The wireless radio networks of the Mesh Master and the other Mesh Repeaters should still remain available at those times.

  1. Click "Access to Home Network" in the user interface of the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater.
  2. Disable the option "Automatically adopt wireless LAN settings".
  3. Click "Apply" to save the settings.

Now you can configure your own wireless settings in the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater.
