Determining the FRITZ!Box's BSSID

The BSSID (Basic Service Set Identifier) serves to unambiguously identify a wireless router in a wireless network (WiFi). Some applications for establishing wireless connections require you to enter the FRITZ!Box's BSSID when configuring a wireless connection to the FRITZ!Box.

Note:The configuration procedure and notes on functions given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for your FRITZ!Box.

1 Determining the FRITZ!Box's wireless MAC address

The BSSID is the MAC address at which wireless devices can reach the FRITZ!Box:

  1. Click "Wireless" ("WLAN") in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Radio Network" in the "Wireless" ("WLAN") menu.
  3. Make note of the MAC address listed in the "Radio Network" section. If the MAC address is not displayed, enable the Advanced View first.
