FRITZ!Box 7490 Service

Cannot configure port sharing rules

Additional port sharing rules cannot be configured for a device in the FRITZ!Box. When you attempt to create a new sharing, it is not added to the list of port sharings under "Internet > Permit Access > Port Sharing".

Cause

  • Error in FRITZ!OS 6.8x

Note:The configuration procedure and notes on functions given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for your FRITZ!Box.

1 Setting up a IPv6 connection in the FRITZ!Box

  1. Click "Internet" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Account Information" in the "Internet" menu.
  3. Click on the "IPv6" tab. If the tab is not displayed, enable the Advanced View first.
  4. Enable the option "IPv6 support enabled".
  5. If the option "Use native IPv4 connection (recommended)" is enabled in the "IPv6 Connectivity" section:
    1. Enable the option "Always use a tunnel protocol for the IPv6 connection".
    2. Enable the option "6to4" in the "Connection Settings" section.
  6. Click "Apply" to save the settings.

2 Deleting port sharing

  1. Click "Internet" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "Permit Access" in the "Internet" menu.
  3. Click on the "Port Sharing" or "Port Forwarding" tab.
  4. Click the button (delete) next to each device / name and select "OK" when asked whether you would you like to delete the device from the list of shared ports.
  5. Click "Apply" to save the settings.
