"Update" menu is missing from the FRITZ!Box user interface

The latest FRITZ!OS cannot be installed. The menu option "Update" is missing in the "System" area of the FRITZ!Box user interface, and the wizard also does not does not offer any options for installing an update.

1 Only the Internet provider can update

If the "Update" menu is not available, then the internet provider that provided you with the FRITZ!Box is preventing you from installing the FRITZ!OS update. You therefore cannot install an update using the FRITZ!Box user interface. Your provider can give you information on the new FRITZ!OS version and possible dates.
