Setting up a wireless connection to FRITZ!Powerline

Connect any wireless devices to the FRITZ!Powerline adapter's wireless network (WiFi) so they can access your home network and the Internet. To do so, set up the wireless connection on each device just once as described here. The wireless device then establishes the connection automatically.

There are two ways to set up the wireless connection to FRITZ!Powerline:

  • With the WPS method (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) you can set up the connection safely and automatically at the touch of a button.
  • You can manually set up the connection by entering FRITZ!Powerline's unique network key in the wireless device.

1 Preparations

  • Check whether the wireless device supports configuring wireless connections at the touch of a button (WPS PBC - Push Button Configuration).

Note:Numerous current Windows computers as well as many media players and wireless music systems support WPS. You can find information on whether your device supports WPS in its manual, or consult the manufacturer directly.
